Collaborative, mobile inspection system with human-machine interaction for 3D quality assurance
The 3D-KOSYMA consortium is developing a collaborative, mobile, semi-autonomous measurement and inspection assistant for irregular measurement tasks in industrial production, as a demonstrator setup in the manufacturing environment of the end users involved in the project. Since 3D-KOSYMA is being developed as a modular, versatile system, it has the potential to be deployed by end users in both line and piece production
3D-KOYSMA addresses a variety of challenges resulting from the increased number of variants, the shortening production cycles and the increased technical requirements in industrial production. The inspection system not only performs routine measurements but is also intuitively instructed by an operator in a measurement or inspection task as required. Its control is largely based on gestures – a high level of user acceptance is achieved through this intuitive form of human-machine interaction. After completing the measuring or inspection task, which is performed with high-performance 3D sensors, 3D-KOSYMA intelligently compares the results with cross-linked available data, identifies and registers the component and displays relevant information such as tolerance violations or defects. 3D-KOSYMA obtains the necessary target information from a-priori model information or statistical data.
