In the field of image processing, multimodal image processing is becoming increasingly more important by enhancing the performance and reliability of the processes. Among the modalities, the focus is on 3D and multi- / hyperspectral imaging as trends in modern image processing. The basis for the combined use must be a system for the provision of exactly registered 3D and multi- / hyperspectral image data. From a practical point of view, this system has to be robust against disturbances from the environment and have a high detection speed.

The project will elaborate a system-oriented approach for the simultaneous acquisition of 3D points and their associated spectral information.
