In order to make the future of man-machine-interaction sustainable, an unrivaled level of technology is needed that is based on the latest knowledge of physics and materials science. Especially the development of innovative optical systems for 3D visualization and sensor technology is crucial in the design of future interactive interfaces between man and machine. This results in very high and specific requirements profiles, which can only be solved by a completely new class of photonic materials.
At the core of the project lies the application-oriented development of photonic nanomaterials, which completely control the state of light in any spectral range.
